Bryan Breckenridge

Partner and Co-founder

San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Bryan is a partner and co-founder of VITAL, where he spends his days helping companies and their investors weave scalable purpose into their core operating models- something VITAL calls Impact-Led-Growth (ILG). Bryan has spent decades growing and enabling tech industry sales teams, starting and scaling embedded social enterprises that bridge the gap between Silicon Valley and the massive global nonprofit sector, creating business value by integrating authentic social impact & ESG strategies into fast growth organizations, and advising start-ups.

Since 2000, Bryan has helped several iconic companies and their purpose-driven Founders / CEOs go public and maximize financial, cultural and societal ROI. After years in field sales roles at Sprint, Ingram Micro and various start-ups, Bryan was an early employee and spent ten years at salesforce.com where he held sales territories, started the global sales enablement function and assumed salesforce.org leadership roles helping over 50,000 nonprofits adopt salesforce.com to fulfill their missions. Bryan then helped Linkedin start and grow a program called Linkedin for Nonprofits that now serves over 3000 orgs with discounted access to Linkedin’s tools. At Box.com, Bryan weaved impact into the Box.org operating model by greasing the skids for ESG and launching Box.org, an embedded social enterprise at Box that now engages over 70% of employees and 11,000 nonprofits. Box.org has become a cultural cornerstone of the Box.com mission, culture and ESG framework. At Zillow, he further integrated Zillow Social Impact into their strategic operating plan via their OKRs and got the ball rolling on a more robust ESG program and reporting effort as they expanded their offerings well beyond their advertising roots. Finally, he joined Snyk just after their D round of funding to plan and launch Snyk Social Impact and Snyk’s broader ESG strategy globally. Bryan loves applying what he’s learned in his internal operating roles when co-piloting impact led growth (ILG) strategy and activation with VITAL clients.

Bryan has advised on growth or assumed board roles at start-ups like Verb, Charityvest and Sequin AR. He’s a founder of the ImpactCloud, a coalition of 25 tech companies that have weaved positive social impact into their operating models in scalable ways. Bryan has spent over fifteen years serving on nonprofit boards including long-term roles supporting Bay Area Community Resources (BACR.org) who’s grown from a $29 to $100 million annual budget and GrowMyFuture.org. Both of these orgs serve youth and their families  in critical ways.

Bryan is a proud Kansas Jayhawk alum and lives in Marin County, just north of San Francisco.

If you really knew me you’d know… you can find me in the redwoods on a trail run, on a yoga mat or  with my family and friends when I’m not on Zoom or in a boardroom discussing impact led growth.

I’m most passionate about… connecting with people, helping people meet and activate their full selves and helping leaders maximize business and societal value at the same time.
